Big Fat Juicy Rabbits

This weekend, the owners and I went to Druridge Bay in the Big Yellow Van. I was hyper. I love being hyper. When we arrived, they pegged me to a corkscrew and I ran and ran and leaped and jumped and ran some more. I tried to squeeze my head into a few rabbit holes, but couldn't get very far. I could smell the rabbits. They smelt delicious. I was so excited I could almost see them everywhere, so I ran around chasing them, sniffing their trails.
When it got dark and I'd been running around for 5 hours jumping around finding carcasses of animals, the owners eventually went to bed and shut the curtains. I slept for a while, but when it got light again, I was bored. I got up and jumped up at the window of the van. Oh. My. Goodness. There were hundreds of them. BIG FAT JUICY RABBITS. I couldn't contain myself I just let out squeals and barks of excitement. I jumped from the bed to the front of the van and looked out of every window of the van to see if my hopes were true. They were! The rabbits surrounded us on every side. I wanted nothing more than to jump outside and jump around with them, to chase them and catch them. The owners seemed unimpressed and didn't let me out. They mentioned something about it being 5am, but I didn't know what that meant. All I wanted was to be outside. So I jumped and squealed as loud as I could until they let me out. They did let me out and boy, was I glad to be with the rabbits! Run, run, run!

The next thing I knew, I couldn't see the owners anymore, so I sat outside the yellow van and squealed and cried again until they came out. Squealing nearly always works.  If it doesn't, I squeal louder.  If that doesn't work, I scratch or dig to get attention.

My efforts paid off and eventually, owner no.1 took me for a walk so I could explore new territory hunting down the rabbits.  Strangely, I didn't manage to catch one this time...
